Alkaline Membrane Cleaner (Solid)

I. Performance and Applications
It is a high-pH liquid formulation primarily used to remove organic matter, colloids, microorganisms, and particulate substances. It is suitable for aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis membranes, hollow fiber membranes, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes. Excellent cleaning performance can extend the operational lifespan of membranes.

▲ Efficiently removes oil and organic matter from membrane surfaces;
▲ Effective in removing biofilm from membrane surfaces;

▲ Liquid chemical agent, which shortens mixing time and performs better at elevated temperatures.

Typically, the concentration of this chemical in the chemical tank is 1–3%.
IV. Cleaning Instructions
▲ Inspect and flush the entire RO cleaning system to ensure cleanliness;
▲ Before cleaning, it is essential to clearly identify the type of contamination affecting the RO membrane elements and the cause of such contamination, ensuring targeted treatment;
▲ After cleaning, analyze the cause of contamination and implement appropriate pretreatment preventive measures;
▲ During the cleaning process, the temperature of the cleaning solution must be maintained within the required range (25–35°C);
▲ The cleaning flow rate should follow the recommendations of the membrane manufacturer or chemical supplier. Additionally, the flow rate and soaking duration should be determined based on the type and severity of membrane contamination (if no recommendation is available, a technical engineer can provide guidance based on the system’s actual conditions);
▲ For severely contaminated systems, consult a technical engineer to develop a more effective cleaning plan;
▲ For multi-stage RO systems, each stage should be cleaned separately for optimal results. If the cleaning solution becomes turbid or the pH exceeds the recommended range, reconstitute the solution or replenish the cleaner. Before putting the system back into operation, rinse it thoroughly with RO product water.
V. Packaging and Storage
1) Packed in plastic drums, 25 kg or 20 kg per drum;
2) Physicochemically stable; store in a cool place with a shelf life of 12 months.
VI. Safety and Protection
This product is alkaline. Wear protective goggles and gloves during use. If it splashes onto the skin, rinse with clean water.
